Local Artist: Kate Durkin

Kate Durkin is a Queens-based artist and craftsperson whose work celebrates the color, character, and everyday charm of New York City. Drawing inspiration from neighborhood life across Queens and the city beyond, Kate creates playful, illustrated designs that feel both familiar and full of personality.

All of Kate’s artwork is based on her original illustrations and brought to life as thoughtfully designed, handcrafted pieces. Each item is made by Kate in her Sunnyside studio, combining bright colors, whimsical details, and a strong sense of place.
